What is your life verse and why?
Philippians 1:6, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus.” I love this verse because it reminds me I’m a work in progress and that God isn’t done with me yet. There is ALWAYS room for growth.
What’s your most prized possession and why?
Probably my home…as a single mom, it took me a while to be able to own my own house.
What are you most proud of in the last year?
Learning to pivot and try new things with this whole covid life.
Do you sleep with a top sheet? Why or why not?
Yes…I didn’t realize other people don’t…
If you could have any zoo animal as a pet, which would it be?
Hmmm….well, I like a clean house, so pets aren’t really my thing, but I guess I would say maybe some sort of goat that would live outside.
What would be the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery?
Pay off my house.
Do you hit the snooze button or wake up immediately?
I PURPOSEFULLY set my alarm 20 minutes before I need to wake up so that I can push snooze twice.
How would your 10-year-old self react to what you do now
She would probably be surprised that I am not working at a church.
What was the best vacation you ever took and why?
3 years ago we started going up to Michigan for a super-laid-back beach vacation. Best thing ever. We now try to do it yearly and my kids absolutely adore it.
How old were you when you started working?
16 years old, baby. First job was at a local frozen custard shop.
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Working at a daycare….all the crying babies
