Industry Spotlight – RaJan Monroe

What is your life verse?

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart and lean not to your own understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your path.

 Favorite ice cream flavor?
The OG! Vanilla. Some say that’s for boring people but I know it is the canvas for all the fun!

Who’s your hero?
If we’re talking Marvel…Black Panther. Wakanda Forever. But IRL; my wife, Lizzie, has been wearing the cape for the better part of my days. She’s been my best friend and more than a companion. She has pushed me to have better health and has been there through all that life throws. She’s definitely MY Wonder Woman!

How many hours of sleep do you need?
Wants and needs are totally different things… I have four boys ages 7 and under.. and a princess at 9 months. If the hours are consecutive, I’ll take any.

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
My wife’s crockpot chicken!

When I’m not on-air or changing diapers, I love to create music, watch basketball with my princess, and make up games with the fam.

 Worst gift you’ve ever received?
Racoon stew…it’s a long story.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
I only have 7 pairs. I want more but I know that means I would have to buy them…

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Starfish during Fear Factor at my childhood church. I will never forget.

Toilet paper: over or under?
I just want some there when I need it…

On a scale of 1-10, how funny would you say you are?
I break the scale or so I’ve been told. Honestly, I get away with telling bad dad jokes so I guess I’m actually funny…or surrounded by VERY kind people.

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
