What is your life verse and why?
I feel like this is always such a hard question… I have had verses and passages stand out to me throughout life. The one I keep coming back to is Micah 6:8 “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” I like that it give us a solid direction to go in. With everything that has been going on, sometimes that is enough to take the next step. Is it just? Is it kind? Is it humble?
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
I have to go with Christmas! There is so much hope and joy built into that time of year.
If you got to name a new country, how would you decide what to call it?
I feel like I’d have to turn it into a contest somehow. Have people from the new country submit ideas and then have them vote on the top ones.
Do you like going to the movies or prefer watching at home?
Watching at home by far. I can pause if I need to, and my dog is the best movie watching buddy.
What kitchen appliance do you use every day?
Coffee Maker. It gets a workout at our house!
In the summer, would you rather go to the beach or go camping?
Camping. I love the quiet of a hike in the woods.
What’s your favorite quote from a TV show/movie/book?
“There is no pit so deep, that God’s love is not deeper still.” -Corrie Ten Boom, “The Hiding Place”
What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
Good news. Even if it’s not my good news, I still love hearing about good things happening for people.
Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Why?
Breakfast food. I will even have breakfast for dinner occasionally. Breakfast food is such great comfort food.
Would you rather go without shampoo for the rest of your life or toothpaste for the rest of your life?
Eww! If I have to pick though, I’ll go without shampoo. Rotting teeth would be so painful.
When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not?
I did! I was told that was the “healthiest” part of the bread. That was a little creative problem solving by my parents.
