What is your life verse and why?
Isaiah 52:1-2
Awake, awake, Zion,
clothe yourself with strength!
Put on your garments of splendor,
Jerusalem, the holy city.
The uncircumcised and defiled
will not enter you again.
Shake off your dust;
rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem.
Free yourself from the chains on your neck,
Daughter Zion, now a captive.
I just feel like it’s kind of a battle cry to wake up! Dust myself off -the dirt and downcast – that’s not the place that God has for me, but there is another identity instead as a daughter of Zion, stop living in the dirt, I am no longer a captive, God has something to say to me… it’s just my battle cry to know my identity in Christ.
What was your childhood nickname?
Lo, D-Loz, LoLo, LorGor
What’s your go to karaoke song?
Easy. Whitney Houston, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”. And my number in the set list for each Kaoroke night is #1 – cuz I set the bar real low and give everyone else a deep breath of, “oh, that’s what we’re workin with? I can do this!” that’s my role, you’re welcome to singers 2+.
What’s the last book you read?
Where the Crawdad’s Sing, Delia Owens. It’s been awhile since I’ve been lost in a story, but those long quarantine walks provided a little extra encouragement to get out there and listen to a good story – so technically I listened to the book. Same same.
What’s your favorite meme?
Oh, I love memes. I love memes on dishtowels, or mugs, or notebooks at the giftshop, I love memes in group chats – so many to pick from, but right now Kombucha girl…she gets me and gives me so many options for 2020!
Tacos or hamburgers?
That’s a tight race, but I’m gonna go with a good ol cheeseburger since that is exactly what I’ve ordered at some world-class super-pretentious steak houses…gimme a medium juicy cheeseburger and I’m a happy lady!
What’s worse: laundry or dishes?
Oh, hands down – DISHES!
Is double dipping ever acceptable?
Yes.
Biggest pet peeve?
Bad customer service. A simple, “I’m sorry” can smooth over a whole lotta mistakes, too often it doesn’t come!
Dogs or cats?
No contest. Dogs!
If you could have coffee with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
I would want to sit down to coffee with my 3 sisters, we’re all spread out Brooklyn, Dallas, San Francisco and Portland and we’re never all together at once, so to have a whole coffee date just the 4 of us…2020 YOU WOULD BE REDEEMED!
