What is your life verse and why?
I don’t have a specific life verse, but one of my favorites is from Luke 15:20: “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Tough one! I guess I’ll go with the 4th of July…it’s the height of summer, there’s great food, and so many fun things to do.
If you got to name a new country, how would you decide what to call it?
How about what I WOULDN’T do? I would NOT poll the internet…we don’t need a place called Country McCountryface.
Do you like going to the movies or prefer watching at home?
BOTH. I love the experience of a movie theater, but sometimes I just want to stay in the comfort of my own house!
What kitchen appliance do you use every day?
Microwave. Clearly, I’m a fantastic cook.
In the summer, would you rather go to the beach or go camping?
Camping, if there are mountains and woods involved. But I’d prefer to stay in a cabin. The ground is getting harder the older I get.
What’s your favorite quote from a TV show/movie/book?
So many, both funny and serious. But here’s one from The Two Towers that I’ve often quoted: “It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing–this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it’ll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going, because they were holding on to something…there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.”
What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
Donuts.
Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Why?
I often skip it, but I’ll say breakfast since there are just so many fantastic breakfast foods. And you can eat it at any time. Why would anybody eat anything besides breakfast food?
Would you rather go without shampoo for the rest of your life or toothpaste for the rest of your life?
I shave my head, so shampoo is the obvious choice for me.
When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not?
Of course! They’re the most nutrient-rich part of the bread. At least…that’s what I was told…now I’m questioning everything. DOES GUM REALLY STAY IN YOUR BODY FOR 7 YEARS?!
