Worst gift you’ve ever received?
My first apartment out of college was $400 a month but was in-between a prison and a mental institution. People ran away from both locations every other week and the cops would come by and tell us not to open our doors till they found the person.  To avoid being murdered, my mom gifted me an alarm system that had one piece that stuck to the door and the other to the door frame. If the two pieces separated, a siren would go off that could be heard on the moon. Apparently, glue made in 2005 couldn’t stand room temps above 75 degrees and this sweet apartment didn’t have air conditioning. The alarm fell off the door at 2am, the siren went off, I woke up and ran to grab a knife thinking “this is it, I’m about to be murdered.”
