What is your life verse?
It’s not very original, but when I first got involved with Church and my faith journey, I had shared some of the difficulties in my life with a Sunday school teacher and she shared Jeremiah 29:11 with me; “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” It’s come in handy during some of those tougher life moments when you’re looking for light in a dark situation.
Can you touch your tongue to your nose?
You know…I can’t. Wasn’t blessed with that ability. I can curl my tongue, but that’s about it.
What’s your most used Emoji?
*checks phone* That’d be the laughing face with the tears. I like to laugh and a majority of the people I text and chat with send me hilarious memes and TikTok videos, so it makes sense.
What’s your go-to roadtrip snack?
Oh man, I love snacks. Dr. Pepper for sure and colder the better. Love the bold Chex-Mix and Peanut Butter M&Ms. (I like Reese’s Pieces, but the PB M&Ms have a better PB to chocolate ratio.)
What’s the last show you binged watch?
Currently it’s Schitt’s Creek. Like most binge-worthy shows, it took a little bit to gather steam, but I just started Season 5 on Netflix and I am loving it!
Favorite zoo animal?
Always a fan of the turtles. I’ve always had a special spot in my heart for them since I was a little kid and rescued them from the roadside. Of course, my love could also stem from growing up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Beach or mountains?
I live in West Michigan, and just a quick drive from Lake Michigan and it’s wonderful beaches, and while I do enjoy them, I have to say mountains because they’re still new and exciting to me. With the pandemic, I’ve taken up hiking, and I would love to hike through some beautiful mountain sides at some point in the near future.
What’s your middle name?
You’re not going to try and steal my identity with this one are you? It’s Scott. After my uncle. He’s pretty awesome. He’s a professor for a university in Nebraska, an Eagle Scout, a beekeeper, and an out-doorsy kind of guy.
iPhone or Android?
Ooo…probably the most divisive question on the list. iPhone all the way. Say what you want about the apps, customization, etc., the responsiveness of an iPhone is heads and tails above the rest. Plus…I’m an Apple fanboy, have been since college.
If it’s just me ordering for myself? Pepperoni, Bacon, and onions. So good! If I have to share with others…Pepperoni all the way.
