What is your life verse and why?
Lamentations 3:22-23 seems to be the legacy of our family. We’ve experienced deep waters and heartache, but God has time and time again been so faithful – never allowing us to bear more than we could handle and always giving us the blessing of following Him.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
Have you ever had a side hustle or considered having one?
I’ve had a bunch! From weekly on-air shifts at my local Christian radio station to sports play-by-play for Comcast and even weekend TV news anchoring for a short time.
What’s your favorite part of the workday?
The morning for productivity for sure, but it’s hard to beat the end of the day when the work is done, and I head to the golf course!
What’s the most unusual place you’ve fallen asleep?
I worked overnight shifts to get through college and learned that a 7am English Literature class was a great place to take a nap, but not a great time to get decent grades.
What was it like growing up as the youngest/oldest/middle/only child?
As the oldest it was awesome (what else would you expect and Enneagram 8 to say?)
What TV family most reminds you of your own?
I grew up as a Pastor’s kid, so probably Leave it to Beaver.
Is there any product that you couldn’t live without?
Probably coffee, but I would also really miss my Ping driver.
Who do you admire most in the world?
Anyone that has faithfully followed Jesus for a lifetime despite difficult circumstances. My dad led that list before he went home to be with the Lord.
Which of your personality traits are you most proud of?
This is a trick question! (I guess it can’t be humility? – LOL). I would say I get the most joy in being with those friends and family I love – and making them laugh so maybe my sense of humor (?)
What’s on your bucket list?
At this stage of my life, I think it’s to not live more than a few minutes without my wife. Erin and I met each other in High School, graduated college together, got married five months later and growing old with her is at the top of my bucket list.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Summers in a villa in Tuscany and winters in Palm Beach as long as the grand kids are close by!
