Industry Spotlight – Brittney Wright

What is your life verse and why?

Psalm 62:5-6  Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

I went through a pretty tough season of life in 2012/2013 and this verse was something I’d read out loud almost every day. It had always been a favorite of mine, but that season really brought it to life in a new way.

Can you touch your tongue to your nose?
Nope. I just tried and I guess I have a pretty short tongue because I didn’t even get close.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Way too many…like, WAYYY too many.

What’s your hidden talent?
This might not be the kind of talent you’re looking for but I can move my ears in circles. I’m also pretty crafty and love refinishing old furniture, which is probably more exciting than moving my ears. But hey, can you move your ears?

What’s your go-to roadtrip snack?
Fruit snacks, XXX Vitamin water, Cheetos, almonds, sour gummy worms. Being a radio promoter really prepares you for all the road trips.

What’s the last show you binged watch?
Manhunt: Deadly Games

Favorite zoo animal?
Spider Monkey – not sure if they’re even at the Zoo but I like to think I’d be one if I were an animal so that’s my pick.

Beach or mountains?
In California you can go from Tahoe to Pacifica in about 3 hours, so I’ll take both. Sunrise in the mountains, sunset on the beach.

What’s your middle name?
Ask someone around you, they probably have the same one as me: Marie.

iPhone or Android?
iPhone, duh.

Pizza toppings?
Margarita Pizza, light sauce, add pepperoni.

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
