Industry Spotlight – Brandi Reichert

What is your life verse and why?
Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”  I believe I read that it wasn’t written as Hallmark like as it feels … however … It spoke to me and was an anchor for me as I was coming to know more about God when I was baptized 13 years ago.  Still does.  Bonus info … if I would ever get a tattoo … this would be it!

Have you ever had a side hustle or considered having one?
Yep and Yep.  A former coworker of mine was making six figures selling skincare for a direct sales company.  My FOMO was out of control, so I tried.  I actually had a small team building, but I lost steam and hated to be away from my kids in the evenings for the events.  If you are still reading this … your WHY has to be BIG and you have to work WAY more than side hustle hours to grow in that industry.  Big props to those who succeed.  My FOMO is now gone.  However, if you are in the market for some great skincare … holler at your girl!

What’s your favorite part of the workday?
Although these don’t happen every workday … my favorite MOMENTS at work are when we are in idea generation meetings or in times of figuring things out and God shows up in a big way.  That is good, good stuff!

What’s the most unusual place you’ve fallen asleep?
I sincerely have no idea.  I can’t sleep well without a fan … so it had to be someplace with a fan.

What was it like growing up as the youngest/oldest/middle/only child?
I am the oldest child.  My sister is 5 years younger than me.  Both of my parents worked … so during endless hours of unpaid babysitting we did lots of coloring, played a lot of Barbies and watched movies!

What TV family most reminds you of your own?
The household I grew up in?  Roseanne.  Not kidding.

Is there any product that you couldn’t live without?
I looked around my office and had to tell the truth.  Paper.  I love paper.

Who do you admire most in the world?
Wow!  What happened to the “how you do prefer your toilet paper” questions?  HA HA!  The first person that came to mind was my husband.  I will need to share this with him, since he probably has no idea.  He doesn’t want a lot of things of the world … his belief in God is a big reason I am where I am today … he is good to us … and is an honest and loyal husband and father.  I am a lucky girl.

Which of your personality traits are you most proud of?
Can I phone a friend?  I guess I would say humor?!?!  It has gotten me through some hard times … in and out of some trouble … but overall, makes me pleasant to be around (most days).

What’s on your bucket list?
A few of the things on my bucket list are … spending some time in Italy and having week long vacations on the beach with my kids and their kids as a family (God willing … my kids are only 12 and 10 … but I think about these trips already and cannot wait)!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I haven’t been to a TON of places … but nothing has been quite as beautiful as Sonoma County in CA.

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
