Z88.3 Easter Sunrise Service at SeaWorld

He is Risen! Z88.3 hosted the 42nd annual Easter Sunrise Service at SeaWorld yesterday morning. It’s an honor for the Z to now be part of this wonderful tradition that’s been at SeaWorld since 1977. It’s free to park and free to attend. This year was a record breaking year for the service with over 10,000 people attending.

Z artist Tenth Avenue North led worship, and did an incredible job. They closed out the service with a mini concert of three of their own songs. Usually people start getting up to leave to go to their own church services or to be with family on Easter, but not this year! Not one person moved until they had completely finished.

Dr. Joel C. Hunter, who you may know from the Let’s Go Help Somebody minutes on the radio, brought a powerful Easter message. Using Matthew 28, he said we are looking for Jesus in what happened, but “He is not here.”  The cross was the site of all unfairness, punishment, and pain.  Jesus was certainly there when it happened, just as He was with us and laying a foundation for our future when we went through what we did.  But that is done now.  He has moved into the future He was building for us in the tragedy.  He is waiting for us there.  So we move on from the past, honoring its people and its cost by building a future worth more than its pain.  We will see Jesus in the journey forward!

It is an honor to get to partner with SeaWorld and serve the community together. Tyler from Z88.3 Mornings says it’s one of her greatest privileges to get to host the service. That’s how we all feel about Z88.3 being part of this beautiful worship service!

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
