104.3 The Pulse (WZFJ) just celebrated 20 years of broadcasting in Central Minnesota!
Minnesota Christian Broadcasters launched The Pulse (then called Z100) on 100.1 FM on December 1st, 2002. They later rebranded to The Pulse and then in 2012 moved the station to a stronger signal at it’s current home of 104.3 FM.
At 20 years old, The Pulse’s mission is still the same: playing great music, encouraging listeners, and sharing the hope of Jesus. The team at The Pulse are extremely active in the local community, participating in numerous community events and broadcasting live from their converted fish house studio.
“The team here at The Pulse may be small, but we’re scrappy!” says program director Dave Wonders. “We are all over the Brainerd Lakes area. If there is an event happening, we want to be there. We are also PASSSIONATE about music here and we’re always trying to put the best songs in front of our listeners even if we’re the only station playing them. Our playlist is second to none.”
As The Pulse turns 20, they look back on God’s faithful provision and look forward to many more great years of broadcasting to come.
