Word Entertainment Promo Dept. Hires Three New Staffers

Word Entertainment VP/Radio Promotion Jeri Cooper has hired three new staffers to the label’s promotion department. Jennifer Allen has been named “Director of National Promotion,” Traci Hite joins as “Regional Promotion Manager,” and Lindsey Whitener has been named “Promotion Coordinator” for the label.

“I’m so excited to have such a wonderful staff of people join our team at Word.  No doubt their collective experiences bring invaluable assets to our label’s promotion and relationhip efforts.” says Cooper.

Allen comes to Word from Centricity Music, where she was “Director of National Promotion.” She worked for the label for ten years, and was Centricity’s first in-house promotions representative. Prior to joining Word, Allen was “Manager of National Promotion” for Ino Records, and has previous career stops at The Marketing Group, as “Director of Christian Broadcasting,” Radio & Records as “Accounts Manager/Americana and Christian Formats”, the Sparrow Label Group as “National Promotion Administrative Assistant/Coordinator,” and Insight Management, as “Office Manager.”

Hite joins Word from her position at Capitol Christian Music Group where she served as “Administrator/National Promotion.” She graduated from the University of North Alabama with a degree in Communications and her previous experience includes stints at KCBI/Dallas, as “Promotions Coordinator,” and at WAY-FM in Madison AL, as “Community Impact Director.” Hite also interned for Sony Music in the radio promotion department in 2012.

Whitener is a recent graduate from Remington College and comes to Word as “Promotion Coordinator” for the department.

Allen, Hite, and Whitener join Sean Hannon who has been on the Word staff for two years as “Regional Promotion Manager,” following a decade at Curb Records where he was “Manager/National Promotion.”  Hannon joined the label as an intern and was later hired as the East Coast Regional and Christian rep.
