(Washington, D.C.) – This past weekend close to seven-thousand people packed into EagleBank Arena, in the DC suburb of Fairfax, Virginia, to see TobyMac on the “Hits Deep Tour” on both Friday and Saturday nights. All in all a total of close to 14,000 people enjoyed music from Aaron Cole, We Are Messengers, Jordan Feliz, Ryan Stevenson, Jeremy Camp and TobyMac with Diverse City. This was the first time in his career that TobyMac has ever played two sold-out nights in a row at the same venue. He said that it was special that it happened in his hometown of Fairfax, Virginia.
“Northern Virginia, Maryland, DC…2 sold-out nights we will never forget!!! Big thanks to WGTS 91.9,” tweeted TobyMac. “It was an incredible two nights. To see the number of people singing, dancing and celebrating their faith in this environment was humbling. On top of that we got to meet and pray with countless listeners,” said WGTS Community Engagement Director Jitesh Ram. “While we love to fill a building, at the end of the day it’s always about ministering to one person at a time. We had a husband and wife on the concourse and they were just distraught. One of our prayer team members went over to check on them and found out that the wife’s father had literally just passed away and she got the news during the concert. Our prayer team member prayed with them and made sure she was okay until she could leave to be with her mom. That’s why we’re here, to celebrate with those who are celebrating and to bring hope to the hurting,” says Ram.
