WBGL Spends One Winter Night Outside

On Friday, February 1st, WBGL’s Morning Show co-host, Johnathon Eltrevoog took on the challenge of C-U at Home’s One Winter Night event. Eltrevoog along with 69 other participants of Camp WBGL, spent 12 hours overnight outside in a cardboard refrigerator box in an effort to raise awareness about homelessness.

One Winter Night is an annual event that allows the opportunity for our community to learn about homelessness and witness only a glimpse of what CU-at Home says our “friends without an address” encounter every night. Local ministry C-U at Home seeks to engage and mobilize our community to house and support the most vulnerable homeless on their journey to healing and restoration. Together, the WBGL team raised over $27,500 for the homeless in the Champaign-Urbana community.
