The Journey Hits 108% of Their Goal

The Journey wrapped up their Partner Invitation fundraiser early, finishing at 108% of the goal at 9am last Friday!

Program Director Kenny Robinson said “listeners began giving first thing Tuesday morning and didn’t let up. It was a tremendous response. Our guests joined us from their homes, our phone operators were in a different building. A big thanks to our tech team for getting things set up and troubleshooting any issues.”

The Journey decided not to do a fundraiser in the spring due to Covid-19. General Manager Mike Weston said “We’ve had a lot of very positive feedback about the decision to not do a typical Partner Event fundraiser in April or even during the Summer. It was difficult choice at the time, but I believe it was the right one, considering how so many of our listeners were hurting financially due the pandemic”.
