Appleton/Oshkosh, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Sheboygan, Wausau/Stevens Point WI –The Family Radio Network (The Family) held their third annual “Christmas Blessing” campaign on Giving Tuesday, November 30, to benefit families in need in each of their five listening areas. Thanks to the generous giving of their listeners, The Family was able to help over 300 families throughout Wisconsin with an extra blessing this Christmas, in the form of $100 grocery gift cards.
This year, The Family hoped to collect $17,000, their highest goal yet. Through the generosity of the Family’s listeners, that amount was raised in 3 hours, and by the end of the drive, that goal had been almost doubled.
“You don’t know how much this means”, said one recipient while choking back tears. “This season has been really tough, and this will help us out so much”.
The Family Radio Network partnered with local grocery stores and the Salvation Army in each of their listening areas in order to help distribute these gifts to the families who would benefit the most. The Family does not receive compensation for this program. “It’s our way of living out our mission of bringing hope, strength, and encouragement to families throughout Wisconsin”, says John Holst, Community Engagement Manager at The Family.
91.9FM/99.9FM/91.5FM/91.3FM/88.5FM The Family Radio Network, along with the 300 families who received this gift would like to thank everyone who donated. Thank you!
