Shifting at The Journey

Lynchburg, Va. – With the retirement of Barry Armstrong as General Manager, Journey Program Director Mike Weston has been named General Manager. Mike joined The Journey in April of 2015. He was previously Assistant Program Director and Midday Talent at 89.7 WMHK in Columbia SC, where he served for 14 years.


Kenny Robinson has been named Program Director. He took over morning show duties on The Journey in August of 2015. He was formerly morning host and Program Director at WMSJ in Portland, Maine. Production Director Mark Edwards, who has been at WRVL for 26 years, has been named Assistant Program Director.


Departing GM Barry Armstrong says “I’ve had the joy of watching this team come together over the past 18 months. The collaborative passion, leadership and creative skills of the team will definitely take The Journey to the next level!”
