Salem’s Ed Atsinger Elected As RMLC Board Chair

Last week the Radio Music License Committee (RMLC) board elected Salem Media Group CEO, Ed Atsinger, as its new chair. Atsinger succeeds Saga Communications CEO, Ed Christian, who had been chair for the last decade with VerStandig Broadcasting president, John VerStandig, who joined as co-chair a year ago.

Atsinger has also served as chair of the National Religious Broadcasters Music Licensing Committee. “Given my vested interest in seeing to it that the RMLC continues to thrive, it’s reassuring that we now pass the baton to an experienced Chairman who is perfectly positioned to hit the ground running,” Christian said in the announcement.

“It’s no secret that there are multiple challenges facing the industry right now and I am anxious to get to work with a great RMLC team that has already distinguished itself in many ways,” Atsinger added.
