Northwestern Media’s Life 107.1 Partners with Local Homeless Ministry

October 18, 2019, Des Moines, IA – Northwestern Media’s Life 107.1 (KNWI – Des Moines) partnered with Joppa Homeless Outreach for a gift card drive at the Chris Tomlin concert at Wells Fargo Arena on Sunday, October 13th. Life 107.1 listeners and concert attendees donated $3315.50 in gift cards and cash donations for the non-profit based in Des Moines.

Joppa Homeless Outreach Ministries’ ( mission is to create communities of unconditional love, support and hope for the homeless as they work together to prevent and ultimately end homelessness in central Iowa and beyond.

Life 107.1’s Listener Engagement Director Jen Green says, “This is the first time we’ve partnered with Joppa and the first time we’ve done a gift card drive. We had no idea what to expect of our listeners. But, once again, they’ve shown their loving, generous hearts. Our prayer is that God blesses these gifts and the efforts of Joppa on behalf of the homeless community in central Iowa.”

Life 107.1 exists to lead people to Christ and nurture believers in their spiritual growth through Christ-centered media.
