Northwestern Media to Purchase New Life Media

ST. PAUL, MN, August 5, 2019 — University of Northwestern/Northwestern Media has entered into an asset purchase agreement to purchase New Life Media from the Illinois District Council of Assemblies of God.  Thirteen full power stations and seven translators, including WBGL in Champaign, IL and WCIC in Peoria, IL, will be included in this sale to Northwestern.

“New Life Media has been serving their listeners well for 46 years and we are extremely grateful for this opportunity,” said Jason Sharp, Sr. VP for Media at Northwestern. “We look forward to working together and continuing their effort in reaching people for Christ throughout the Midwest.”

“Northwestern Media has a tremendous reputation in the industry, and we are thrilled that the longstanding ministry in these markets will continue forward under their leadership,” said Phil Schneider IDCAG Superintendent.

With this acquisition, Northwestern Media grows to 81 broadcast licenses in 13 markets and ten states.

Greg Guy of Patrick Communications was the exclusive broker in this transaction representing the seller.
