Historic flooding in Louisiana damaged homes and forced thousands of families to evacuate to shelters.
In addition to encouraging listeners to pray, serve, and give; LifeSongs hosted their annual Back to School Project. Listeners donated enough school supplies to fill 106 LifeSongs Drawstring Totes. These were donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Baton Rouge, whose club members’ school supplies were damaged in their now flooded schools.
“All the school supplies that we received today are great that came from LifeSongs! The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge greatly appreciates you and LifeSongs in thinking of us…” said Seresa Corbin , Director of Community Engagement, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge.
LifeSongs also donated over 1000 bottled waters to The Oaks Church in Denham Springs, as they continue relief efforts in the aftermath of the flooding.
