Life 97.9 Listeners Stuff the Truck

KFNW/Fargo (Life 97.9) partnered with the New Life Center Thrift Store on Saturday, May 4, at Luther Family Ford to kick off Cleanup Week in Fargo. The New Life Center helps people who are homeless and hurting go from merely surviving to truly thriving. Listeners responded by donating 15 tons of items which filled two small trucks, as well as one semi-truck. Additionally, First Lutheran Church, Fargo Moorhead Association of Realtors, Arnhalt Transport, Miss Cass County International, North Dakota International Ambassador, and Miss Pre-Teen North Dakota International were Stuff the Truck sponsors and participants.

Tom O’Keefe, New Life Center Operations Director, said, “The items the community donates to us at the Stuff the Truck event benefit the New Life Center in multiple ways. The event provides much needed clothing, furniture, and houseware items to support the New Life Center Thrift Store now and during slower donation times during the winter. The Thrift Store proceeds go directly to the New Life Center to support the operations and programs provided to our guests.”

Life 97.9 Listener Engagement Director, Carly Viland, said, “Year after year, it’s encouraging to see how many listeners are passionate about helping others in Cass and Clay counties through their donations of gently used items which benefit the New Life Center, Team Boaz, and the Salvation Army. “
