Life 97.9 Listeners Donate Legos to Kids in Need of Hope

During the month of June, Northwestern Media’s KFNW/Fargo (Life 97.9) teamed up with Thomsen Homes to collect new sets of Legos for Do It Well, Inc, a local organization which is in memory of a young boy named Jeremiah Solhjem.

Do It Well, Inc. is dedicated to enriching the lives of local children by providing a gift to those in need at local hospitals as well as children placed in foster care in Cass and Richland counties. It is their goal to reach children in need to show them the love of Christ during difficult times though the gift packs inspired by the life of Jeremiah.

Life 97.9 listeners were asked to drop off the contributions at various locations in the Fargo-Moorhead area and they responded by donating 144 new Lego sets.

Jana Solhjem from Do It Well, Inc. said, “We so appreciate the amazing Legos that Life 97.9 helped to collect as they featured us as their organization for the month of June! Those 144 Legos will bless MANY kids who are in need of hope and encouragement!”

Life 97.9 Listener Engagement Director, Carly Viland, said, “It was exciting to see how the listeners and local businesses gladly responded to the Lego Drive. It makes me grin just thinking about how these kids in need will be smiling once they receive a new set of Legos even though they are in tough circumstances.”
