Life 97.9 Listeners Donate Dental Items at Chris Tomlin Concert

On October 10, 2019, Northwestern Media’s KFNW/Fargo (Life 97.9) teamed up with Toothbrush Ministries to collect new toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and other dental items. Life 97.9 listeners were asked to drop off the donations at the Chris Tomlin concert at the Fargodome in Fargo, ND.

Listeners responded by donating a total of 1,550 dental items, as well as an additional $108.00. In summary, 742 toothbrushes and 808 other dental items.

In July 2018, Toothbrush Ministries was founded to provide dental items to those in need. This local non-profit has been able to minister to 5 countries in North America, Asia, and Africa to provide toothbrushes for various mission trips and other organizations. Additionally, Toothbrush Ministries has locally partnered with Gladys Ray Shelter, Veterans Drop-In Center, New Life Center, FM Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, Inc, YWCA Cass Clay, Youthworks, and others to impact those in the Fargo-Moorhead community by providing them with basic hygiene items, such as toothbrushes.

Nicole Jacobson, Co-Founder and President of Toothbrush Ministries, said, “Wow! We are blown away by this. Toothbrush Ministries has been incredibly blessed by this opportunity to partner with Life 97.9 and we can’t wait to share that blessing with others. Words can’t even begin to say thank you.”
