Life 96.5 listeners in Sioux Falls showed up at in an exciting way this fall to help the homeless in their community.
After a six week donation drive to bring Hoodies and Hope to those who come to the local Union Gospel Mission for a hot meal and a gospel message, the radio family came together to provide 800 brand NEW hooded sweatshirts during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (November 16-24, 2019).
Union Gospel Mission co-director Linda Gonzales says people who are homeless really appreciate hoodies because they are so easy to wear and not as cumbersome as a coat. She expresses deep gratitude for Life 96.5 listeners who took the time to purchase and drop off the hooded sweatshirt.
