Life 107.1 Partners with Local Churches to Bless Single Moms

On Saturday, May 5th, over 250 moms were pampered while their children were loved and cared for.  Life 107.1 was excited once again to partner with three area churches to bless single moms in the Des Moines metro during Single Moms’ Morning Out 2018. The churches included Gloria Dei Lutheran church, Prairie Ridge Church, and Crossroads Community Church. The mothers got haircuts, manicures, massages, made jewelry and crafts, and enjoyed delicious food. Their vehicles were washed, detailed, and received basic care. Every mom got to “shop” in the Blessings Boutique, a pop-up store at each church which was completely stocked with donations from Life 107.1 listeners. Mothers and their children left with a gift bag filled with goodies, including gas and grocery cards, and a complete lunch from Chick-Fil-A.

Jen Green, Life 107.1 Listener Engagement Director  said, “Once again, Life 107.1 is completely humbled by the generosity of our listeners and the tireless efforts of three amazing churches filled with over 500 volunteers. Every Mom felt the love of Christ during Single Moms’ Morning Out.”

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
