Life 102.5 Listeners Bless Their Local Children’s Hospital With Over 41,000 Markers

February 14, Madison – Life 102.5 partnered with American Family Children’s Hospital for the second year in a row in an effort to show love in a practical way. Listeners were encouraged to donate markers for the children staying at the hospital. The hospital staff expressed the need for markers was big, as coloring is an outlet that many children turn to when they are convalescing at the hospital. Markers are used, not only by the patients in art projects, but by the staff as well. Life 102.5’s staff presented the markers at a Valentine’s Day luncheon at the hospital, where on air hosts helped serve food, and helped the children and their families make Valentine’s Day cards.

On-Air Host on Life 102.5, Summer Shepherd said, “we were so overwhelmed, in the best way, by the generosity of this community. Every time we invite our listeners to give, they give in abundance. For many, this drive was personal. The American Family Children’s Hospital has done so much for the community, and  the community was ready to give back. Thank you to all who gave and who made this our most successful drive yet.

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
