FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MADISON, Wis. – May 23, 2022 – Life 102.5 (WNWC/Madison, WI) listeners have shown up with generosity once again. In an effort to stand in the gap and help the most vulnerable children, the station partnered with The River Food Pantry to collect snack cups at a recent MercyMe concert.
For the week leading up to the concert, Life 102.5 and The River Food Pantry had donation barrels at two Madison area Metcalfe’s Market locations. Those locations, and the collection at the concert, brought in over 400 pounds of snack and fruit cups.
The food will go to benefit children from low-income households throughout the Madison area.
Helen Osborn-Senatus, Director of Operations at The River Food Pantry says “As we are expanding our mobile meal program “Munch” to several neighborhoods, we anticipate serving twice as many meals. These fruit cups will help give variety for sides. Choice is important! Thank you for over 400 pounds of these cups.”
“Once again we are overwhelmed and grateful for the generosity and compassion of Life 102.5 listeners.” says Life 102.5 station manager Steve Young. “At Life 102.5, we are passionate about helping kids in need and vulnerable children in our community. It’s clear that our listeners share that same passion.”
Life 102.5 is a part of the Northwestern Media network of University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Northwestern Media operates 23 stations in 14 markets across 10 states. Their radio signals reach more than 1.25 million listeners each week.
