Waterloo, Iowa — Feb. 17, 2021 – Life 101.9 encouraged listeners to provide for the homeless people of Eastern Iowa during their annual “Share the Love” campaign. A gift of fifteen dollars was given to one of fourteen homeless shelters in the area, the gift cards provided a hot meal, warm bed and other necessities to help the homeless through the winter months. Life 101.9 listeners showed up in a big way, with total donations of over $39,000, providing over 2,600 nights in shelters for those who need it the most.
Allison Hein, Development Coordinator at Willis Dady Homeless Services of Cedar Rapids said, “Willis Dady is so grateful to be included in Life 101.9’s Share the Love campaign. Thank you for not only raising awareness of homelessness on the air, but for encouraging our community to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families experiencing homelessness.”
