Life 101.9 Listeners Help Feed The Hungry In Eastern Iowa

Life 101.9 (KNWS Waterloo/Cedar Rapids, IA) partnered with food banks around Eastern Iowa for the Big Help for Hunger. On the Saturday before Thanksgiving, members of the Life 101.9 team broadcast live outside of Hy-Vee locations in Cedar Rapids, Waterloo and Dubuque to encourage listeners to donate non-perishable food items to the local food bank in each community. In total, over 850 pounds of food and $350 in cash was donated during the event, providing the equivalent of 2,540 meals for people who need them in Eastern Iowa!

Station Manager Matt Deane said “At Life 101.9, we’re grateful for the opportunity to show the love of Jesus in practical ways in the communities we serve. Once again, our listeners came together in big ways to provide food for families who need it in Eastern Iowa!”
