JOY FM Listeners Feed Families With Orphan Outreach

Even though the JOY FM summer mission trip to Guatemala was cancelled because of Covid 19, the door to serve was still open. Orphan Outreach shared stories of families hanging white flags outside of their homes – showing their immediate and desperate need for food and medication.

JOY FM invited listeners to feed 1,500 of these families for the rest of the year ($120 per family for a total of $180,000).  The goal was reached in 1 week, but listeners continued to give. A total of $263,000 was given in 2 weeks and food is now on the way to families in Guatemala, Honduras and Kenya.

JOY FM listeners also shared notes of encouragement that will be delivered with the food. What a privilege to serve with great ministry partners like Orphan Outreach.
