CHAMPAIGN, IL – WBGL is shining a light on the opportunity to send Gary Miracle and his family on a Holland America cruise in January 2022. After falling ill, experiencing double amputations of his hands and feet and fighting for his life for months in the hospital, Gary Miracle was sent home. It has been a life changing and difficult journey for his entire family. Miracle is the source of inspiration behind the MercyMe hit song, “Say I Won’t” and inspired many through sharing his story of courage and hope with honesty and transparency.
A WBGL volunteer who was moved by Miracle’s story started a GoFundMe to send the family on their first vacation following his illness. To date, 40% of the $12,500 goal has been raised, which will fully fund the entire vacation. The public is invited to participate in this important effort by going to https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-gary-miracle-keep-his-promise.
