Hurricane Ida made landfall Sunday afternoon, August 29 as a Category 4 storm bringing 150+ mph winds, dangerous storm surge, and heavy rains. Ida tore apart buildings, toppled trees, and flooded communities across the gulf coast. The hurricane also knocked out power for more than 1 million residents of Louisiana and Mississippi.
With so many struggling right now, Convoy of Hope has teamed up with Dunham+Company to bring audio, video, and digital resources from ground zero to over 30+ trusted radio partners in just a few short days.
As the storm rolled in, Convoy of Hope had already deployed 19 vehicles filled with life-sustaining food, water, and relief supplies to Northern Louisiana. Convoy of Hope was pre-positioned ahead of the storm to help those affected as quickly as possible. Convoy of Hope is actively distributing supplies to the hardest hit areas as we speak, and will be expanding their work to surrounding areas as soon as possible.
Because of the Christian radio industry’s willingness to jump in and be the hands and feet of Jesus, Convoy of Hope has already able to rush emergency relief supplies to thousands of families who’ve lost everything. Your support is vital to mobilizing emergency food, water, and supplies to neighborhoods and families hardest hit by Hurricane Ida and we want to say THANK YOU! This group effort is making a massive impact for those now faced with rebuilding their lives.
As the dust settles, and the full scope of devastation is brought to light, you can still give your listeners the opportunity to get involved.
