Christian Artists and Road Crews Supported Financially By JOY FM Listeners

St. Louis, MO— June 4, 2020 Thursday, 99.1 JOY FM listeners were invited to support and thank their favorite Christian artists for their ministries. Recent concert and event cancellations have resulted in a lack of income for many artists to pay their bands and crews. JOY FM hosted 15-minute “Tip Jar” Concerts on-air and invited listeners to toss money into the virtual tip jar to support the artists. Listeners also sent written comments and encouragement to their favorite artists as they shared their donations.

Performances and interviews via Zoom where shared on the radio and online from TobyMac, Mandisa, For King & Country, Josh Wilson, I Am They, Blanca, We Are Messengers, and Unspoken.  As of Thursday evening, JOY FM listeners had donated more than $123,000! The money will be split evenly between all participating artists.

JOY FM’s Tip Jar remains open through the weekend and early next week for those who wish to contribute, and for those who would like to watch or share the performances.
