WBCL Radio Network, Fort Wayne won an Indiana Broadcaster’s Association Award for best promotional campaign for their summer contest, Mom and Dad’s Great Escape.
This contest promoted the idea of mom and dad escaping the hassles of everyday life and getting away together by winning a trip for two. Winners were able to choose their trip — the beach or the mountains, heading out on a cruise or maybe experiencing the city life.
During the summer of 2019, WBCL encouraged listeners to attend sticker stops throughout their listening area. When listeners put a window sticker on their car they were entered to win Mom and Dad’s great escape.
WBCL gave away three trips for two throughout the summer – one at the end of each month (June, July and August). Each trip was valued at $1,600.
