This year’s challenges forced many local non-profits to set lower expectations regarding donor support. The Bridge Christian radio station ministry canceled their annual spring fundraiser, and instead engaged their community through various service projects.
As the three-day fall fundraiser approached, the entire team was uncertain what would happen. Changes to listening habits, employment status, and economic uncertainty meant previous forecasts were unreliable. Did the community still rely on The Bridge as a source of connection, strength, and hope? Would listeners call to show their financial support?
Today, The Bridge is celebrating after finishing their three-day fall fundraiser in just two days. On the third day, the leadership team cast a vision for expansion. Loyal listeners helped The Bridge exceed that $100,000 vision goal with almost half an hour to spare.
Jack Eason says, “It’s obvious that the listeners trust the team at The Bridge because of the time and investment they have made into their local community over the last 10 years of ministry. I can’t remember a time where I’ve seen and felt God’s presence during an on-air event like what we experienced these past three days.” As a consultant with Heart Share Jack Eason travels to stations across the United States, he adds, “It truly is an honor to support a team that puts ministry first.”
