Over 3,8000 unwrapped gifts, including board games, backpacks, puzzles and more, were collected as part of Family Life Radio’s (FLR) annual Toy Drive held in nine states from Arizona to Florida. The toys will benefit over 950 children, who otherwise would not receive gifts at Christmas.
In Arizona and Michigan, Youth Haven, a sister ministry of FLR, was the beneficiary. Youth Haven provides life-changing, Christ-centered experiences for disadvantaged children. FLR partnered with several other non-profits in other states including Wings for Life International in New Mexico and The Grant County Holiday Project in Wisconsin. The FLR regional promotion coordinators also held several “drive through” donation events where members of the local community were able to drop off their gifts.
“We enjoy the opportunity to be able to team up with Youth Haven and other community organizations during the Christmas season to bring hope to children in need,” said Evan Carlson, president of FLR.
