They just keep piling more and more on your plate and somehow, you’re expected to keep them all spinning. No one likes to be stressed and if you live there constantly, the job isn’t fun anymore. So how do we spend more time creating and less time being overwhelmed, aggravated, stressed and even angry? To empower you to make changes that will help you love what you do again, Carol will share what has helped her. Carol started her adventure at Z88.3 as an intern way back in the day before most people had texting plans. She left for a short break to attend Florida State University (Go Seminoles!), before returning to Z88.3 after college as their first, full-time Promotions Director. This year she celebrates 13 years as Promotions Director at the Z. She has also helped Z88.3 grow socially and now, along with promotions, heads up the social media and donor love departments for the Z family of stations.
While most people look at her job description and run screaming in the other direction, Carol sees a unique benefit to keeping everything together. She believes it actually makes her life easier, but don’t tell her boss that she admits that. 😉 Carol’s heart is in promotions and she has a passion for making sure other Promotions Directors feel like they aren’t on a lonely island by themselves. If you are a promotions or social peep reading this, you know exactly how hard this job is, and how easy it is to get overwhelmed and burnt out. Her goal is to share ways that involve less head banging at the end of the day and create more winning moments for you and your radio station.

Frank Reed is the host of the highly rated “Frank, Starlene and Hudson in the Morning” morning show on 94.9 KLTY Dallas. Frank’s career spans nearly 5 decades with stops in Orlando, Miami, New York, and the last 26 years in Dallas. He is the recipient of the NRB’s Air Personality of the Year Award, CMB’s Scott Campbell Award, and is a McVay Media Program Director of the Year award winner. He recently authored his first book, “Frankly Speaking”, A Memoir. Frank and his wife Patti reside in Keller, Texas.
