Jeremy Rosado and Dr. Joel Hunter Join Z88.3 on Easter Morning for the 49th Annual Easter Sunrise Service at SeaWorld Orlando!

Orlando, FL – HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN, INDEED! This was the awe-inspiring cry heard from thousands in attendance at Z88.3’s 49th annual Easter Sunrise Service. The service, which was hosted by Shadow and Grace from Z88.3 Afternoons, was free to the public and held in the Bayside Stadium at SeaWorld Orlando.

A combination of Z listeners from all over Central Florida and tourists from countries around the world gathered together before sunrise to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The service has become an annual Easter tradition for families from across the globe.

This year’s service gave attendees a reason to celebrate with incredible worship led by Jeremy Rosado and a powerful, hope-filled message delivered by Dr. Joel Hunter. Jeremy, who first gained national attention as a finalist on American Idol and later on The Voice, led worship with authenticity and passion, drawing from his journey of faith, family, and calling. Dr. Joel Hunter, a respected Central Florida pastor, community leader, and bridge-builder, shared the Gospel message.

The annual Easter Sunrise Service has a rich history in Central Florida. It has been held in the Bayside Stadium at SeaWorld Orlando for going on 50 years and continues to draw thousands each Easter morning. Z88.3 remains honored to help carry on the tradition and heritage of this beloved celebration for families and visitors alike.

Since the JOY99 Match Game debuted in 1996, Match Game has become a listener favorite, awarding over $400,000 in prizes and creating decades of unforgettable moments. This year, JOY99 honored that legacy while updating the experience for today’s audience.

(Lynchburg, VA) The Morning Journey is once again Best Radio DJs in the annual Lynchburg Living Magazine Best Of edition. The online and print annual magazine asks readers to vote on different categories (Restaurants, relators, auto repair, etc.…) and the team of Mark Edwards and Brittany Minard won the top honor in the DJ category. The station has won the award each year dating back to 2018.
Brittany said, “This year we had some fun with it and included our “changing of the banner ceremony” on the morning show and Facebook Live. Alex, one of our young listeners, was on the show and played the trumpet as the new banner was raised. It’s an honor to be recognized and we appreciate the listeners voting for us.”

WGTS 91.9 is pleased to announce that morning drive co-host Summer Shepherd is moving to host the afternoon drive.

Shepherd has nearly 15 years of radio experience. She has spent the past three years co-hosting mornings with host Jerry Woods across the Washington, D.C. Metro region.

“For a decade, afternoons were my home at a variety of stations. I’m excited to revisit that slot and craft something fresh that connects with this amazing community of listeners, reminding them that they’re loved and not alone. I also look forward to sleeping in a bit. Not gonna lie,” said Shepherd.

WGTS program director Brennan Wimbish shared, “Summer has a unique ability to connect with listeners in a meaningful, faith-filled way. I’m excited to see her bring that same encouragement and presence to our afternoon drive listeners.”
