What is your favorite song?
There are always different favorites for different times, but I’m going with “Lost The Plot” –  Newsboys.

What is the last book you’ve read?
“Bruce Lee: A Life”

What led you to a career in radio?
I was going to do PR, but the radio elective class was always ordering pizza and watching TV in class, and I knew those were my people and switched majors. (true story)

What advice would you give people new to the business?
Start by making yourself an expert on all the ‘rules’ of radio, once you have them down, then you can learn how & when to break them in a way that makes you stand out

Give a shoutout to someone who is making a difference in radio and what are they doing to make an impact?
I know a lot of great innovators, but Dave Wonders at The Pulse in MN deserves a shout out.  So many large market innovators get a spotlight, but Dave and the team at Pulse are being effective and innovative at reaching that specific community.  They even have custom ice fishing house they can broadcast from, talk about reaching your community where they are at!

How do you refresh your creative energy at work?
Usually by watching YouTube clips of Impractical Jokers

Amazon Echo or Google Home?
Echo

What is your favorite part of your job?
One of my favorite things is hearing ‘I was having the worst day, and your stupid game made me laugh so hard’

Who is your favorite air personality not on your staff and why do you like them?
I always answer the same, but I can’t help it, I’m a Brant fan boy.  He just breaks all the molds, offers something completely unique, and I always feel pushed to improve when I hear him.

What was your last non-industry job?
Processing bonds at US Bank.

Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.
I asked Francis Chan trivia questions about Jackie Chan.  That had to be up there.

Teach me something I don’t know in the next five minutes.
Per the recent book question, before Bruce Lee became a martial arts icon, he planned on being famous as a cha-cha dancer, which he was really good at.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
I looked up all Crayola colors just now.  I would definitely be Bluetonium.  It’s the coolest name ever.
