Life 88.5 Brightens the Holidays for Children in Foster Care

Life 88.5 partnered with KVC Kansas, a nonprofit child welfare and behavioral healthcare organization, for the 5th year with their Holiday Heroes program. KVC’s Holiday Heroes Program is a way for individuals, families and businesses to work together to make the holidays brighter for children in foster care in Kansas City. In just 38 days, Life 88.5 listeners met 100% of the needs from just over 4,800 wish lists that were turned in by children in foster care.

Jackie Harwig, a CRS Supervisor for KVC Kansas said one foster mom shared “The joy of seeing my daughter’s huge, gorgeous smile when her Christmas gifts were delivered will stay forever in my heart.  Please thank the sponsors for me because we feel the love with each gift.”
