The BOOST 101.9 morning show with JBo and Yoshi interviewed Hollyn, Manic Drive and Ty Brasel during the Winter Jam tour. The tour made a stop in St. Louis on January 27th for a packed show at the Enterprise Center. Hollyn, Manic Drive and Ty Brasel are three of ten bands that are a part of this year’s Winter Jam lineup.
Hollyn continues to gain popularity on BOOST 101.9 with her hit singles like, “Can’t Live Without” and her newest song, “Everything and More,” which features Aaron Cole. During her interview, Hollyn was candid about her music and where she fits in. Of the conversation host JBo said, “Talking to Hollyn was like a breath of fresh air; she really wants to make music for the masses without losing sight of herself and what God has called her to do. Not only is she a great role model for young women everywhere, she’s also a great role model for artists.”
The band Manic Drive is comprised of brothers Michael and Shawn Cavallo. In BOOST 101.9’s exclusive interview, the duo talks about the meaning behind their new single,” Into The Wild,” and the unique music video they created for it. In regards to the lighthearted interview Yoshi said, “They were fun to talk to. They were quick-witted and seem like fun, cool dudes.”
During his interview, Ty Brasel talked openly about coming to Christ while being in jail for the fourth time during his freshman year of college. He stated that it was then that he felt like he was destined for more. This time in his life is what inspired his new cd, “Destined For Greatness.” Of the interview JBo said, “I loved talking to Ty Brasel! His willingness to talk about his past and talk about where he’s come from, along with his redemption story, makes him personable.”
