90.9 KCBI Honors the Ministry of Leading The Way

Nashville, TN, March 6, 2020 – For the sixth straight year, 90.9 KCBI, Dallas, honored a ministry partner at its annual Ministry Impact Reception, held this year on Feb. 26 at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville. The 2020 recipient of the KCBI Ministry Impact Award is Dr. Michael Youssef, Host of the broadcast, Leading The Way.

Leading The Way has had immeasurable impact on the lives of listeners since it debuted on KCBI in 2015. “I got saved in March of 2016,” Brandi, a Dallas listener, wrote. “I kind of lost my faith a few months later after I had a miscarriage. I carried a grudge against God because I believed that God was going to save that pregnancy. That tragedy made me step away for the last three years. But recently, I started to seek God again. One of the things that has been super-helpful for me in keeping my relationship with Him is Leading The Way. I listen to it every night on my way home from work.”
That is just one way that God has used the ministry of Leading The Way on KCBI over the last several years. Last year, Dr. Youssef celebrated two milestones – his 70th birthday and his 30th year of ministry with the broadcast ministry he founded. Dr. Youssef now is focusing on his intense passion to “finish well,” which has led him and his leadership team to launch Vision 2025: One Million Souls for Christ. The ministry expansion campaign clearly highlights several areas of ministry that are especially close to Dr. Youssef’s heart in reaching our lost and dying world in the coming 30 years and beyond.

“To God be the glory,” said Dr. Youssef. “We appreciate the partnership with KCBI and our loyal listeners in Dallas.”

Matt Austin, the General Manager and Vice President of KCBI, said the ministry partnership with Dr. Youssef and Leading The Way is just one of the many ways that illustrates that at KCBI, the Bible is the center of all that we do.

“KCBI is proud to have one of the most effective Bible teaching communicators available in our daily lineup in Dr. Youssef,” said Austin. “I am delighted to be able to honor such a worthy pastor for using his vast platform to reach not only our listeners in D-FW, but around the world, with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

90.9 KCBI, Encouraging Music … Words of Hope, is the nation’s most-listened to Christian radio station that carries Bible teaching programs, serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
