KCBI’s mission continues to be a discipleship force in North Texas. KCBI hit the ground running after a tragic explosion that affected West, Texas. KCBI was able to donate new laptops to 65 graduates at West High School last May. KCBI brought some new outreaches to North Texas in 2014 including #StopStandUp to Bullying Campaign and Christmas Gift. The #StopStandUp campaign touched more than 150,000 parents, students and teachers. KCBI helped six moms reunite with their families during their Christmas Gift promotion. One of those moms reunited with her daughter after a 3-year military deployment. KCBI has expanded its prayer emphasis allowing listeners to pray through KCBI’s mobile Prayer Center. In the last year, over 33,500 prayers have been sent up by listeners on behalf of listeners. KCBI volunteers prayed with over 300 people at a dozen KCBI events. KCBI has grown significantly over the past year reaching over 400,000 listeners per week. KCBI’s Mornings with Jeff and Rebecca is ranked in the top ten among all stations in Dallas/Ft. Worth. KCBI’s staff works hard to demonstrate that they are not just a radio station – they are a ministry.

Chris Hauser has charted a formidable path in the Christian Music community. Both radio programmer and promoter, Chris’s talents have touched the careers of Amy Grant and Caedmon’s Call – more recently Lauren Daigle and Danny Gokey – and others.

His career in radio began at WYRD in 1979. A few years later, they acquired an FM signal and Chris was named PD of the AM/FM combo. During this time, he also promoted concerts with 80s CCM artists like Petra and more.

Chris was the first record promoter hired out of Christian radio when he accepted a job at Myrrh Records in 1987. There, Chris worked legendary projects including Amy Grant’s Lead on Me. Soon after, he was hired by Warner Alliance and eventually became VP of Promotion and promoted artists like Take 6 and The Winans. In 1998, Chris branched out on his own and has been blazing the indie trail ever since. His commitment to projects he genuinely loves is at the core of Chris’s success, solidifying trust and camaraderie in a business thriving on those tenets.

Taking every opportunity to mentor those looking to transition from radio to records, Chris strives to be in a position to help others blossom.
