finneylogoNATIONWIDE RESEARCH AT A GLANCE

We asked Contemporary Christian Music Radio listeners in multiple markets across the US during the past year about their favorite songs. From our nationwide research, here are the male Christian artists (or groups led by a male lead singer) with the most songs among the Top 200 songs nationally.

  1. Chris Tomlin
  2. Third Day
  3. Mercy Me
  4. Casting Crowns
  5. Jeremy Camp

These five artists have tested great for years and continue to score really well.

The next five are interesting also:

  • #6 is Phillips, Craig & Dean, still hanging in very strongly.
  • #7 is Kutless, which may be a surprise.
  • Passion/Kristian Stanfill, Crowder, Matt Maher, and Matthew West all follow.

Coming in Finney’s Fast Five for September, we ask Christian radio listeners this question: If you could tell the leaders of your favorite Christian radio station to change one thing about what they do on the radio, what would it be?
