THANK YOU to our close to 60 attendees that came out to Charlotte for our Social Media Momentum Summit!

Our time at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on April 18 was PACKED with insight, tools and  focus on digital and social networking!  Leaders in the digital and social media world Zena Burns, Lori Lewis and Jacquelyn Bullerman spoke to our attendees and then led a Q&A discussion panel .  537069_641318169217398_799459678_n
Topics such as finding your way on emerging platforms with fans, making your traditional brand a true social media brand, day to day social networking and the ever-changing climate of social networking were presented and LOTS of notes were taken!

The afternoon concluded with breaking into groups to apply some of the ‘take-away’ into actual social media plans and strategies for 4 CCM stations!

Our industry led panel got everyone discussing what they do and how to make social strategies work!  Great Q&A!!  BIG thanks to our panel leaders!

Our first ever ‘TWEETFEST’ was a hit as attendees tweeted it up and mentioned our sponsors and tagged #cmbsummit!  Carol Ellingson-Promotions Director from Z88.3 in Orlando won out the tweetfest and won an iPad mini!539729_641398662542682_507606501_n

Thursday night’s Social Media Momentum Summit concluded with the “Curb BBQ Party,”  held at the Curb Motorsports Museum!  Followed by an amazing night of  music by special guest artists: Natalie Grant and OBB!

What people are saying!!

“Thank you. Thank you. Thank you….for all of your effort and hardwork putting together the event last week. I was bragging on y’all to the staff today. You have seriously brought the CMB brand to another level. I was so impressed with the speakers on social media, Jacquelyn, Zena & Lori were TOP NOTCH!! Such great takeaways from all 3 of them. And I loved, loved, loved Paul Martin. As a matter of fact, I’ve already emailed him to come and do the exact same thing for our staff.

Just want you to know that I appreciate you, and that your efforts and work are SEEN and FELT. It was also good for me to connect with the women in our industry. As I admitted to all of you, I’ve not been good at jumping in – and God reminded me on Thursday and Friday why it’s good to surround yourself with likeminded people striving for the same goals. Y’all are first in class, and I’m honored to call you colleagues.”

Zena Burns – VP Digital Programming Platforms / iheartradio

SESSION – “Radio: The Original Social Media”

At its core, radio has always been about community. But with the advances in technology over the last decade – even the last few years – radio brands that haven’t taken a hard look at how they’re interacting with their communities may be sticking their heads in the virtual sand. This panel will discuss the shift in audience engagement tactics and how you can ensure that your brands are staying relevant in the social age.

SESSION – “Finding Your Way on Emerging Platforms”

Social is a critical part of brand building today and it goes beyond Facebook.  Not every social phenomenon will take off like Instagram and this is not about comparing platforms or handicapping what will be the next big thing.  It’s about building on the believability that your great traditional brand is also a true social brand.  Fans give you credit for recognizing where they are when you venture out with a new social platform such as Twitter’s new video app, Vine.  Lori will offer you steps to take to help you be present with your fans when “duty calls,” and how it’s all in your approach.  These simple steps can help you differentiate your brand from the competitors.  CLICK HERE FOR BIO

Jacquelyn Bullerman – Digital Media Manager / Arbitron

SESSION:  “Social Media: Creating an Engaged Community”

Learn how to engage your faith-based social media community.  It takes more than daily updates to get your community to embrace your brand online.  Using the right tactics will help you achieve success.  Real-world examples will be used to illustrate how to best leverage your brand and social assets to create a meaningful online community.  This session will provide you with actionable concepts that you can apply at your station tomorrow.  CLICK HERE FOR BIO
